The best solution for conveying small-sized materials?
In the industrial sector, choosing the right belt can make the difference between an efficient process and a continuous loss of material. One of our customers in the grinding industry faced a recurring issue that was affecting the productivity of their machines.
The Problem
A manufacturer of compact grinders for small-sized materials was using cleated belts with inclines exceeding 30° and open cleats. The result was a continuous loss of efficiency: a significant portion of the material slid back during conveying instead of moving forward. A seemingly simple problem, but with a direct impact on machine productivity and end customer satisfaction.
The Solution
Called in by the customer, our technicians carried out an on-site inspection of the machines in operation. The diagnosis was clear: a specific design was needed for that type of application. We proposed the UNILIST S15 closed-peak belt, with a V-shaped herringbone pattern that retains the material and prevents slippage even on steep inclines. The customer achieved a reduction of over 30% in material sliding back. A targeted intervention that directly increased machine efficiency and production process continuity.
Thanks to the V-shaped herringbone design, we significantly reduced the loss of material sliding back!
