In the sewer cleaning sector, PVC hoses used for suctioning abrasive liquids are employed daily and must guarantee reliability in any weather condition. However, significant temperature fluctuations can compromise the performance of traditional PVC, making it more rigid and fragile.
The Problem
One of our customers operating in an area characterized by extremely low temperatures, reported a critical issue: the PVC hoses used for sewer cleaning tended to stiffen and break due to the harsh cold. This made operations difficult and led to frequent service interruptions.
A material capable of maintaining flexibility and resistance even in severe freezing conditions was therefore essential.
The Solution
To meet this need, we developed a super-elastic compound designed to enhance the performance of PVC and provide the hose with high resistance to low temperatures.
The result is a product that maintains elasticity and structural integrity down to –40°C, enabling the customer to operate without interruptions even in the most extreme climates.

The Cordflex Superior SE -40° hose has allowed us to carry out our activities even in very harsh temperatures.
